SPFL Puppies

We do things a little differently at SPFL; we welcome you into our home using technology for the entire birthing-rearing process. We installed fiber optic internet as of September 2022 so there is no limit on the number of viewers for our cameras going forward. At SPFL we are always happy to answer every single one of your questions because we want to openly and warmly partner with our puppy families.

SPFL puppies are fairly priced at $3000, with no variation based on color, sex or intended purpose. Repeat clients get a $500 discount.

Puppies come with prepaid AKC registration and prepaid Microchips. We also offer incentives for competitive titles for ALL of our puppies.

Parents of our Puppies

All SPFL moms and dads have passed OFA exams for hips/eyes/cardiac, received their CHIC certification, and are fully up to date on their health testing  (including annual eyes and cardiac renewal). We complete DNA testing for every identified Standard Poodle genetic disease plus ~200 other genetic diseases. You can click the links on each dog’s individual page to view their results and testing dates on OFA.

All SPFL parents have been proven in conformation – to demonstrate that they conform to the breed standard. With a structurally solid foundation, poodles can do almost anything! All SPFL parents have proven temperaments not only from judges in the conformation ring, but also through temperament testing. They are also proven in other activities such as performance or companion sports to demonstrate their versatility. We follow AKC’s recommendations to build performance lines on proper conformation and breed type lines.

sharing this explanation from a friend, dog trainer, AKC evaluator and breeder:

Let’s be honest—when you’re buying a house or a car, do you just take the seller’s word that it’s “a great deal”? Probably not! Most of us want an inspection to make sure we’re not moving into a money pit or driving off in a lemon. Same goes for food or medication—we like seeing that FDA approval stamp, right? Why? Because we trust experts without a vested interest to give us the real story.

That’s exactly what dog titling feels like to me—the “inspection report” on the quality of my dogs. Sure, I could go on all day about how amazing they are (because, well, they’re mine and I love them). But let’s face it—I’m biased. When multiple judges, who are experts and have nothing to gain, say my dog has great structure, movement, and temperament? Now that carries weight.

It’s not just about showing off pretty ribbons—it’s about giving real proof that these dogs meet the breed standard and excel. And that’s a win for everyone—especially future puppy owners.

Because of the extensive health testing performed on our dogs, we are proud to offer a 3 YEAR Health Guarantee in our contract!

Our Puppies and their Future Owners are Family

Contracted buyers get nearly 24/7 access to their puppies and can even watch the birth (if they want to). You will be able to see the conditions in which your puppies are raised nearly EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. You will be able to observe the Puppy Culture and Avidog ESI protocols LIVE in action! You will become part of our household for the duration 🙂

Each litter gets its own PRIVATE Facebook group where I share tons of photos and information, do Live events – and all members can ask questions in a safe and protected environment. Each litter family becomes very close knit through this group, sharing their photos, experiences, training tips and best practices and they typically remain active for the life of their SPFL pup.

In their go-home pack filled with supplies and toys, families are provided with a detailed record book and copies of all vet bills (tail docking and dew claws, immunizations, plus any incidentals). The book will also include your pup’s pedigree, AKC registration information, microchip information and so much more! And our team of breeders, veterinary technicians, professional trainers and handlers support you for the life of your SPFL poodle!

Title Incentives are available to buyers, co-owners and guardians!

Showing and Breeding is my Passion

Showing and breeding require a lot of time and a lot of effort, but these dogs are my passion and how I choose to spend my energy and time – because they give me joy, happiness and purpose.

I work outside the home to support my dogs and their careers. I am blessed that I get to work from home more than half of the time. I even opted not to teach during the  summer of 2023 so that I could spend more time with my wonderful dogs and their puppies.

I do not rely on my dogs for income, and I reinvest every remaining penny back into my program. This makes it possible for me to do things the right way for the right reasons – to continuously improve my program. I never need to produce litters; all breeding decisions are based on our vision, mission and philosophy.

Doing things the right way is also why I keep puppies for the full Puppy Culture recommended 10 weeks (there is a fear imprinting period around 9 weeks of age and pups learn bite inhibition during this time). While it would be less expensive and less work to send them home at 8 or 9 weeks, keeping them until 10 weeks is in the best interest of the pups and their new families.

We take early reservations for half an expected litter and the remaining reservations once the puppies have been vet checked in the first 3 days of life.

All pups have homes. Watch for them in the AKC show ring this spring and summer!

All pups have homes. Watch for news on our Keishi (Porsche x Sterling and Cece (Daphne x Deacon) who are hitting the show ring with their co-owners.
